Since the introduction of the IB program at Lémania College, giving a guided tour to the students of the Preparatory Class has become a well-established tradition which still bears fruit.
With spring, the activity resumes!
It is true that the start of this school year was not favourable to these kinds of events because of COVID-19, but with the arrival of sunny days and the lifting of restrictions, the guided tour which is, at the same time, the CAS project for the first IBDP year IB, has been finally able to take place. This activity is always a great moment of joy and happiness, and this year was no exception.
The IB1s and the students of the Preparatory class accompanied by two of their teachers and Ms. Crisante, IB DP Coordinator, were delighted to discover all together the beauty of the old town of Lausanne. Starting with the Tour de l’Ale, vestige of the city walls, the group moved to Place de la Riponne to then go to Château Saint-Maire and Notre-Dame Cathedral. A good hour and a half of this race for history ended at Place Saint-François, located in the heart of the city.
It is very important to learn the history and culture of the country and city where you live and study. But it’s no less important to make friends. The spirit of camaraderie, this guided tour made us all smile and enriched us all.
Here are some photos to brighten up life!
