Academic Support and Educational Guidance

Academic Support and Guidance

The academic success of our students is our highest priority.

Each student has unique characteristics in terms of motivation, learning abilities, and responses to challenges such as concentration difficulties. Taking into account their personal background and cultural heritage, every new boarder benefits from an individualized assessment designed to identify their specific needs and provide the most effective support throughout their academic journey. The Boarding School Management therefore implements a personalized educational approach, ensuring that each student is placed in an environment best suited to their development and success.

Regular Open House events reflect our commitment to parents, offering them valuable insight into our educational philosophy and boarding life.

Evening Study Sessions

Supervised study sessions are compulsory and organized either in groups—according to academic programs and grade levels—or through individual support.

These sessions are conducted in either French or English, depending on students’ needs, and are supervised by qualified teachers and a multidisciplinary educational team. They take place from Sunday to Thursday, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. or 10:00 p.m., depending on academic requirements. Support is provided across all educational pathways, including Secondary Education, the Swiss Maturity Program, the French Baccalaureate, the International Baccalaureate (IB), and the Commercial Apprenticeship Program (CFC).

Boarders staying on campus during weekends also benefit from supervised study sessions, either individually or in small groups, tailored to their pace, learning difficulties, and academic objectives.

During individual tutoring sessions, students’ work is closely monitored and guided by the educational support team.

During the Summer Camp, students enjoy outings around Lausanne and participate in enriching cultural experiences. In addition, Lémania organizes extracurricular sporting events that encourage healthy competition, personal achievement, and the development of team spirit.

At the same time, the Boarding School places great importance on physical activity as a key element of both physical and mental well-being. Mens sana in corpore sano (“A healthy mind in a healthy body”) is our guiding principle. To support this philosophy, residents benefit from privileged access to a modern fitness center located just 10 minutes from the school. Open seven days a week, the facility includes a spa and offers a variety of group fitness classes.

On weekends, a range of leisure, cultural, and sporting activities are organized according to the seasons and the interests of our residents. During the winter season, skiing is the main activity, complemented by hiking and snowshoeing excursions.
