This quality mark is awarded to schools and vocational training institutions in recognition of their EDUCATIONAL VISION.
The training institution must identify its strengths and areas for improvement in four areas, using the most suitable method, and manage the process in the same way as a continuous improvement project.
The four areas are as follows:
1) The institution as a place that passes on culture to learners, with a particular emphasis on learning outcomes, teaching design and sequences, guidance, promotion and access to technology, and cultural, artistic and sporting provision.
2) The institution as a place that passes on values to learners, with a particular emphasis on the rules of community life, learner participation in school life, responsibilities, integration into and tolerance for other cultures, exposure to disabilities, promotion of gender equality, consistent support for learners within the institution’s internal and external network, and promotion of citizenship.
3) The institution as an open, outward-looking community that promotes synergies, with a particular emphasis on partnership with families, the world of business, and collaboration with other stakeholders in general, as applicable.
4) The institution as a well-organised structure, with a particular emphasis on the added-value of administration and finance staff, internal communication, internal competencies and training procedures.
