OVERVIEW
Take our one-year Preparation for College course to get accepted into a cantonal college
Here at Lemania College, our Preparation for College programme prepares students to pass the entrance exams for prestigious colleges offering Swiss Maturité or general education programmes.
Our preparatory course is unique because we focus on specific exam subjects, i.e. maths, French, English, German, history, and the special law and economics option.
Our Preparation for College programme offers two major benefits:
- A full academic year of preparatory classes to boost students’ knowledge, address gaps and give students the confidence they need to pursue further academic study.
- A demanding pace: that reflects what students can expect on a Swiss Maturité or diploma programme. Students on the Preparation for College course learn to study at the right pace and acquire the right methods for this type of programme.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Prospective applicants for the Preparation for College programme must have completed their compulsory schooling, must be resident in the Canton of Vaud, and must be of the correct age for their academic year.
STRUCTURE
The Preparation for College course runs from late August to May.
OUR TEACHING METHODS
The pupil’s best interests
Here at Lemania College, we aim to prepare students to pass the exam. We also want to give them the skills and working methods they will need to succeed throughout their academic career. Our goal is to help students succeed at the end of their studies. But we also place great importance on the process as a whole.
Quality of teaching
For many years, Lemania College’s reputation has been built on the quality of its devoted teaching staff, who are deeply committed to students’ success.
Transparency and communication
We are committed to maintaining constructive dialogue with parents and students about the quality of our services, taking a proactive, preventive approach at all times.
Ensuring transparency
We place particular emphasis on clear regulations and continuous tracking of educational performance. We seek to make all of the processes offered to students easy to identify and understand.
Sustainable learning
Our aim is to ensure that the time spent at school is as profitable as possible. That is why we attach particular importance to “Learning how to learn”. As well as completing the Preparation for College programme, our students take part in guided study and receive personal coaching.
We can also offer other services to help give students the best chance of success, such as additional classes or private tuition.
